Alex Jordan first told me about the Bar Floreal, at 43 rue Couronnes, 75020 Paris. Indeed I am not
sure whether it is the recreational branch of his group Nous Travaillons Ensemble which has it's studio not far away.
Anyway, it is an interesting mixture between bar and gallery, and it held an exhibition of Ronald Curchod's paintings and posters, supplemented by a steady stream of incoming faxes with Curchod drawings. In addition, sax player Curchod brought his music group Le Loupiote Orchestra with him from Toulouse, and there was wine, bread and cheese, dancing and talking until well past midnight. A great place to meet people. I completely forgot the party for Pierre Mendell's new book at the librairie La Hune later in the evening. |
