Winners of the 24. International Poster Biennale Warsaw 2014

The 24rd International Poster Biennale Office accepted 3814 posters designed by more than 2600 designers from over 60 countries. 2601 submissions came from professionals (Category A), and 1213 from students (Category B), from which the jury (Stephan Bundi (Switzerland), David Crowley (Great Britain), Kenya Hara (Japan), Jerzy Porebski (Poland), Silvia Sfigiotti (Italy), Jakub Stepien Hakobo (Poland)) selected 249 posters (Category A) and 64 posters (Category B) for exhibition. The preselection was done electronically through internet.

Verdict
The Jury of the 24. International Poster Biennale met in June, 2014, and awarded the following posters, based on the exhibited paper versions:

  • SILVER MEDAL

  • SILVER MEDAL
    to Jakob Kirch, Germany
    for the poster: 2013/14 Season Opening of the Municipal Theatre of Stuttgart 2013, offset, 175 × 118,5 Schauspiel Stuttgart

  • BRONZE MEDAL
    to Freeman Lau Siu Hong, Hong Kong
    for the poster: Symbiosis 2013, offset, 100 × 70 KL&K Creative Strategics

  • BRONZE MEDAL
    to Lech Majewski, Poland
    for the poster: Beckett 2013, offset, 140 × 100 Powszechny Theatre in Radom

  • BRONZE MEDAL
    to Dmitry Mirilenko, Russia
    for the poster: Mayakovsky 120 (1, 2 , 3) 2013, digital print, 90 × 60 self edition

CATEGORY B

    GOLDEN DEBUT
    to Lukasz Kowalski, Poland for the poster: The Well of Hope – 60% 2013, digital print, 90 × 60 Diploma work at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw

    The Jury would like to mention also two authors in this category for their art works: Jan Bajtlik from Poland and Jonathan Auch from Germany.

The Jury, in the name of Rektora of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, according to the Regulations, awarded the JOZEF MROSZCZAK HONORARY AWARD
to Haiping Li Design Studio, China for the poster: Truth (without text) 2014, offset, 84,1 x 59,4 Hubei Institute of Fine Arts
