Received from Elizabeth Resnick, curator of the exhibition
Last year, Elizabeth Resnick organized and curated a poster exhibition "Women's Rights Are Human Rights:
International Posters advocating an end to gender-based inequity, violence and discrimination" at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston MA (US), where she is
Professor Emerita of Graphic Design.
The exhibition has traveled the United States and has also been shown in Mexico and Taiwan, and will now be at the Poster Museum Wilanow, Warsaw, from April 27 to July 30, 2017. The 84 posters from Resnick's collection (some samples are shown on this page and more here) will be supplemented by 21 posters from the Museum's collection. A symposium and international workshops organized by Polsko-Japonskiej Akademii Technik Komputerowych w Warszawie accompanies the event. Read Stephen Heller's or Maria Papaefstathiou's report on the exhibition. |
