The Magic of Poster Art
Art is always a project for the future.
Art can become a potential medium to transfer a complex topic.
Poster Art has always been the medium next to Fine Arts that is beeing accepted as equal without any reservations.
The start of the project "Water is Life" was funded by the programme "Export of German Contents of Studies 2001 - 2003" of the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service).
With the Summer Academy "Art Bridge" at the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou, under the direction of Prof. Heinz-Juergen Kristahn, it was possible to focus on this approach of research in China.
The results evolved in a workshop that lastet several weeks. They displayed the dialogue between cultures, using an international medial picture language. Social responsibility was demanded and promoted.
The huge feedback of the public in China and Europe in the course of the project has evoked several more workshops and lectues at the University of the Arts, Berlin and at the Nanjing Arts Institute, Nanjing, taking place in 2007 and 2009.
