Our acquaintance with Prof. Piotr Kunce dates back to International Poster Biennales, held in Warsaw, when we enjoyed his heartwarming presence - sometimes as a designer, sometimes as a jury member - on the opening days and afterwards.
During the last biennale in 2012, we had more opportunity to talk and make plans for further cooperation - negotiations that went on for a few days in Krakow, his birthplace, and continued after our return to Tehran.
Such efforts resulted in organizing two events: "Polish School of Poster Design" (April 26th to May 6th, 2013), and "Piotr Kunce's Posters" which we are witnessing now.
The first exhibition couldn't have been possible without his untiring assistance, being a unique chance for professional designers, students and researchers. The second one is a collection of works by a master who has years of experience in graphic design - particularly poster design, and his poster workshops have a valuable, lasting place, not only in Poland, but also in the whole world. Now he has come to Iran, to share the outcome of his years of effort with Iranian professionals and students and introduce his valuable viewpoints on history and 'school' of poster design, also on Iranian poster works.
We honour the presence of Prof. Piotr Kunce and his works in Iran and express our sincere gratitude to Imam Ali Religious Arts Museum for its help and support in organizing this valuable event.
