Roslaw Szaybo (born 13 August 1933 in Poznan) is a Polish poster artist, art director and photographer. He studied poster under the legendary professor Henryk Tomaszewski, and painting – in the worskshop of professor Wojciech Fangor, graduating from the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in 1961. Between 1958 and 1966 he worked in Poland and abroad, receiving numerous prizes and awards.

Szaybo created covers for the "Polish Jazz" record series (Polskie Nagrania), which included "Astigmatic" by Krzysztof Komeda. He was one of the founders of the so-called Polish Poster School. After 1966 he lived and worked in Great Britain. He was an art director at Young and Rubicam advertising agency (1968-1973). He worked for Yardley, Rank Xerox, Hinz. He co-designed the John Player Special black cigarette box. Between 1973 and 1988 he was a creative director at CBS Records UK (Columbia Broadcasting System) in London, designing covers for records (Beethoven, Elton John, John Williams, Duke Ellington, Johny Mathis, Janis Joplin, Simon & Garfunkel, Judas Priest, Leonard Cohen), for which he received numerous prestigous awards.

Since 1993 he was a term professor at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts where he taught photography. He was promoted to full professor in 2002. He was a member of the scientific board of the first International Poster Congress which met in Warsaw in 1994. Between 1994 and 1996 he was an art director at Czytelnik publishing house in Warsaw. He created the poster for Expo 92 in Sevilla. He exhibits his works individually in Poland and around the world, taking also part in the Polish Poster group shows. He designs posters for theatre, jazz, opera and film. He is running a master program in photography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He lives in Warsaw and London.
