7. Plaktivat poster competition "Alternative to Consumerism", Ljubljana, Slovenia
Received from Petra Crnivec
Please see the original web site for more information.
Deadline: November 24, 2016
We would like to inform you about an important project »Plaktivat« (it is a word play from two Slovenian words, poster and action), which is a competition for designing a city billboard poster on various socially responsible topics (for example hate speech and so on). The aim of Plaktivat is to raise awareness and the latest topic of the competition is Alternative to consumerism. We would like to point out the question about how responsible are we as consumers. Only rarely do we ask ourselves where and how these things were produced or manufactured, and we mostly buy things without any consideration or ethics. Our every purchase impacts the lives of the people and other living beings across the globe, and the condition of the planet.
This topic is especially important since December is coming and all the gifts and spending with it.
Participation is free of charge and open for all participants from Ex-Yugoslavian countries. The deadline for submitting posters is 24 November 2016. The awards are:
The winning poster will be printed and published on 500 TAM-TAM billboards across Slovenia;
It will be automatically included in competition for the Slovenian Advertising Festival SOF and the Biennial of Visible Communication of Slovenia
The winner receives Plaktivat’s MEGAFON and a winner’s plaque
All those who submit their works receive a plaque commemorating their participation, awarded by the organizer of Plaktivat, TAM-TAM
