The Department of Commerce of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and China Productivity Center (CPC) together with their collaborators are inviting graphic designers around the world to enter the 2015 Taiwan International Graphic Design Award competition.
Held since 2005, TIGDA has the goal of promoting international interchange in design. TIGDA is also recognized by ICO-D, the world organization for the leading communication design professionals, and is supported by Japan Graphic Designers Association (JAGDA). There has been 9,275 pieces of excellent work joining the competition. In 2013, 43 countries participated in the competition, which has become the iconic competition domestically and internationally; the number of participating works, the scale of the activity, and the quality of award-winning works make this a leading international competition and a major event on the world's annual graphic design calendar.
The organizers are looking for innovative works in the categories "Poster design" and "CI (Corporate Identity) design" and can learn and experience the world design, which today has a strong impact on our society's aesthetic opinion and has become an integral part of our everyday life.
The jury panel included CI design: Felipe Taborda (Brazil, founder of Felipe Taborda consultancy), Rob Vermeulen (Netherlands, founder of Vermeulen), Yesim Demir (Turkey, vice president of ico-D), Jennifer Tsai (Taiwan, founder of Proad Identity)
Hung-Tse Lin (Taiwan, Honorary Chairman of GDA-ROC)
Poster design:Hiroaki Nagai (Japan, Art Director of Nginc), Gitte Kath (Denmark, graphic designer), Mehdi Saeedi (Iran, graphic designer), Stony Cherng (Taiwan, founder of Stony Image ) etc. The awards included the Grand Prize, the Ico-D Excellence Award, the JAGDA Excellence Award, and Gold, Silver and Bronze medals for the Open Categories(Commercial and Promotional), Special theme(Human Concerning, Sustainable Development) and Judge's Special Award.
Registration must be completed before 17 Aug 2015! Registration is free and all submitted entries must be created after June, 2013.
