The second China International Poster Biennial (CIPB) will be held in October, 2005 at the West Lake of Hangzhou, China. This exhibition of posters chosen from throughout the world is intended to provide a review of the current state of international poster design of the 21th century.In the last time the first CIPB have been held with flying colors. It was attended by international designers and other social stratums. We received 2070 pieces of works by 520 designers from 40 countries. It worked as a platform to communicated about international design and education. At the same time, it improved the progress of graphic international design.CIPB is hold by the China Academy of Art, which is the Educational Member of International Council of Graphic Design Associations (ICOGRADA).CIPB is one of the best exhibitions of international design .The jury committee which is formed by famous graphic designers, is intended to review a higher level of Chinese poster design.

Entry rules:
1. All posters must be printed after June 15th, 2003. All posters must be finished works of offset or silk-screen printing. Ink-jet or plotter works do not qualify for all categories.
2. Size of work: no smaller than 36.4cm x 51.5cm and no larger than 120cmx 180cm.
3. The participants should be requested to fill in a label in block letters or type-written.A copy of the label must be fixed with adhesive tape to the lower-right corner on the reverse of each poster.
4. Entry forms must be enclosed in a sealed envelope along with the posters. The participants should be requested to fill in an entry form in block letters or type-written. An illegible entry form will cause disqualification of the entry. The personal details given on the form will serve later as valuable information in the 2nd CIPB 2005 catalogue.The entry form should be signed by the participant.
5. There is no more than 6 pieces per person.We can also accept the series work in 4 and account one series as one.
6. Each work in duplicate, but mounting is not required.
7. Along with the hard copy, please send document in electronic document recorded on CD-ROM. CDs should operate on Mac OS or platform. File Technical Parameters: document size: 21.0cm x 29.7cm, resolution: 300dpi(CMYK images),file type: only TIFF format accepted.
8. The works should be packed in a safe and practical manner to avoid any damage during transport. The organizers do not take responsibility for damages sustained in transport.
9. The posters must be sent as printed matter of a non-commercial value statement. Please do not include the price of your submission on the postal declaration or invoice, as this complicates the delivery procedure: the organizers will not undertake any customs clearance and the parcel will be sent back.
10. Entries will not be returned. Judges, their family partners and their business partners cannot participate in the competition.

Final obligation:
All the posters selected by the jury for the competitive exhibition become the property of the organizers. The organizers have the right to photograph and reprint the works for publicity and promotion. One copy of the catalogue published by organizer will be available to each participant at a 50% discount. Each of the participants for the exhibition will receive a certificate.
